I've tried those things, withal it still has the playable pick for Java and says BUY Now in the green box for the "MINECRAFT for Windows" section

I'm having the same problem however I bought the game nether my Mojang account and so migrated fairly recently and now it's trying to get me to buy the game again.

Yeah, the aforementioned thing happened to me. I bought Minecraft years ago on Mojang, now I migrated the Mojang account to my already existing account. At present information technology let's me play only the demo version.

true i take the same problem tried to install minecraft normally and wasnt able to so i had to drift at present its request me to buy the game again 4 had this game for years never had any bug
tried various idffrent things just nothing works and the mojang account is now migrated so that doesnt work
i was looking into this deeper and someone suggested to download the windows seven/8 launcher from the minecraft website and information technology worked fine when i logged in using the microsoft migrated account hope that helps

I had/have this issue.
If you bought the mojang/java game many years ago like I did, mojang offered the power to claim a free re-create of the windows x version under your business relationship contour on account.mojang.com. I really tried this many times but it e'er resulted in 'not plenty game keys right at present try again later'
There are at present ii problems,

one time you lot migrate your account to microsoft you tin never get dorsum to your mojang page, and then your chance to speak to mojang about it is gone.

microsoft claim that the offer concluded on 20/04/2020 and that your only option is to contact mojang support, who now dont recognise you equally a client considering y'all migrated your account.
Both means microsoft win and got you lot to migrate your account and forcefulness you to buy a game y'all already own again. Its a pretty scummy tactic, but call up of information technology this way, microsoft merely bought your disloyalty as a client, they played themselves.
keep playing the game equally coffee edition, download some mods if you need controller support, buy the game a proceeds if you desire the windows version. Dont await for a reply here, you either get bots or interns who dont even know the details I but posted.
